The general rule of thumb for memberships at golf clubs is that if you have to ask you can't afford it.
A single person $230 and a single person under 30 is $175.
You can find cheap golf lessons from a community golf course. They are much cheaper at community golf courses that at a country club. The cheapest way to learn golf is from family and friends.
the one in northern virginia is about 75,000+
Not very much maybe $5 to $10 dollars, these clubs were sold in department stores not pro shops.
The membership fee to join the Maidstone Golf Club is $7500. This is relatively low compared to other clubs in the area where the membership fee can be in the 6 figures.
I have added a related link, it shows the green fees.
I haven't heard of any golfer with this name, so I assume it must be the club maker. Unfortunately old wooden clubs are not of much value, unless there is a story behind it. If you have any proof of something like who played with it etc it may be valuable. The best thing to do is try eBay or perhaps a sports memoribilia auction where you never know how much it could go for.
Golf club memberships tend to be fairly costly, with signup fees ranging from $1,000 to $100,000, and annual membership dues of anywhere from $1,000 to $10,000; the more exclusive the golf course, the higher the signup & membership fees will be. One of the golf courses known for sweeping, panoramic views is the Raven Golf Club at Verrado, just outside Phoenix, Arizona. Raven Golf Club is a public course, so membership isn't required, and you can expect to pay between $90 and $120 dollars for 18 holes.
