I'm a track coach for boys and girls 5-8 years old. We run in a very competitive league in Los Angeles California. The fastest 6 year old that I've clocked to date is a 6 years and 6 month old boy that runs the hundred meters at 16.93 seconds. He was timed prior to the first track meet 3 weeks into the season. I expect him to be one of the fastest 6 year olds in the entire conference, and drop his time to low 16s by the end of the season. They start standing up (no blocks). The average 6 year old will run between 19.5 and 21.5 seconds, making the more skilled 6 year olds between 17 and 19 seconds. If I had to guess a world record for a 6 year old, I would say mid-15s. Keep in mind that running 100m in the mid 16s at 6 years old is truly an elite 6 year old runner. Perhaps the fastest in the state of Clifornia.
It is me again. I ran 100 meters in 15.75 seconds. I did not measure it out properly. However the average is 27 seconds
I am 9 and I ran 100 meters in 13.40 seconds. However the average is 16 seconds. The first time I tried, I got 15.38 seconds.
