I'm a track coach for boys and girls 5-8 years old. We run in a very competitive league in Los Angeles California. The fastest 6 year old that I've clocked to date is a 6 years and 6 month old boy that runs the hundred meters at 16.93 seconds. He was timed prior to the first track meet 3 weeks into the season. I expect him to be one of the fastest 6 year olds in the entire conference, and drop his time to low 16s by the end of the season. They start standing up (no blocks). The average 6 year old will run between 19.5 and 21.5 seconds, making the more skilled 6 year olds between 17 and 19 seconds. If I had to guess a world record for a 6 year old, I would say mid-15s. Keep in mind that running 100m in the mid 16s at 6 years old is truly an elite 6 year old runner. Perhaps the fastest in the state of Clifornia.
I am 9 and I ran 100 meters in 13.40 seconds. However the average is 16 seconds. The first time I tried, I got 15.38 seconds.
boy- 100m in less than 17 girl- 100m in less than 20
Yes that indicates a fair amount of talent, assuming the timing was carried out by a qualified timekeeper or by a photo-finish.
about 60 seconds.
about 6-8 seconds
faster than me
an ten year old boy would run 6-8 minutes to run in a mile
its an ok time. i'd say it is abit better than average, but to run competitively it is just good enough but if you wish to go further in 100m its not fast enough. im the same age as you and my pb is 11.00s and i just missed out in qualifying to run nationally that's why i have moved to 200m.
Well, you see! The speed for a 17-year old boy is simply faster, right? So the speed is 21.6km/hr!
About an hour if he is fit enough to do it without stopping.
Good time for average 16 year old boy: 12.5s Average time for average 16 year old boy: 13s Average time for a good 16 year old boy: 11.5s Good time for a good 16 year old boy 11s
A 14 year old boy can bulk fast by eating well balanced diet full of proteins.
This boy should be at the front of the line. That boy is really fast on his feet!
