Your going to want to run splits around the same time. i usually run a 2:10 and win the meets but im in a mayflower league so theres not really too much competition. I usually run my first lap in 68 and then finish with a 64 but that is because i have a good kick in the end. You want to be on the balls of your feet throughout the race and stay strong the whole way. Goodluck.

Try to get your split times close to even, like he said above. Also, leave nothing behind once you hit that 200m mark. Not saying go into a full out sprint, but speed up a bit
