Scrape off as much as you can then clean the remainder off with a cloth moistened with lighter fluid. You can use vegetable oil or vaseline to remove the residue but it will reduce the sole's traction. Lighter fluid evaporates fairly quickly and usually won't harm the rubber but you ought to test a small area first.
