I'm going out on a limb here, assuming that you mean .MKV, and not MVK. This is a Matroska file. Format used to encode video and audio, typically DVD rips. Google search Matroska for their homepage for details information, and the free download to play these files. I personally like VLC Media player to play these. That can also be googled.
