Assuming you've bowled on wooden lanes, you typically want to throw the ball a little slower, or try to lay it down closer to the foul line. The syntetics are a little more slick than the wood so you need to ball to have a chance at hooking. I usually target a little closer than the arrows and try to slow my feet down. You can also switch to a more aggressive Bowling ball.
Kids can't go by them selves at thunder bowl lanes. The age is 18.
Nagoya Grand Bowl is now the largest bowling alley in the world. It is comprised of 156 lanes (three floors with 52 lanes on each floor) One of floors is made of synthetic material and the other two are made of wood. At one time, Nagoya Grand Bowl consisted of 260 in two houses. However one of the houses was demolished and is now part of the Freeway Interchange System. See links section below for more information.

Synthetic bowling lanes are made of compressed paper with a "lane" look inlay over the top that is then sealed. This provides a more consistent shot than traditional "wood" lanes. However a lot of traditionalist bowlers feel that bowling on "wood" lanes is the true showmanship of a bowler. The ability to change with the conditions, since each lane can very greatly from one to the other.
There isn't one specific ball that is best for synthetic compared to wood lanes. Because the surface of a ball can be altered and the drilling pattern can be changed to leverage the core design of the ball towards an individual player's strength or oil pattern, there isn't a definitive answer.
oil on a lane can affect the way a ball moves by allowing the ball to slide or grip the lanes in certain locations. oil does not really affect the way you bowl unless u throw a curve.
I would recommend Brandon Crossroads Bowl, Oakfield Lane of Brandon, or Royal Lanes. See links section for more information.
