Getting in shape for tennis depends on how competitively you are playing(at what level) for a college or professional player it is very specific, but for rec players it varies. To get in shape for junior tournaments I always run at least 5 miles, do 100 crunches, 500 sit-ups, lift lightly, and do drills for about 4 hours a day. I do this every day except for the few days before the tournament.
