How can you register for the 2008 New York City marathon?

Click on the 'NYC Marathon Registration' link on this page to see the application and instructions for the 2007 NYC Marathon. I would assume there would be little if any change in these instructions for the 2008 race.

It has come a long way since its early days and is now among the most prestegious races of its kind. Routine Sunday joggers still participate but it is now given out on a lottery basis for the masses who haven't been extended an invatation because they are genuine competitors or members of qualified running club. The London Marathon is the largest single day fundraising event in the UK with millions of pounds raised for numerous charities. For runners in the UK you must submit your name into the lottery ballot system or select an appointed charity. For overseas runners you must find the Official agency for your country. For North America, that agency is Marathon Tours in Boston, MA (USA).
