I just did it in few minutes. Instead of trying to go through the key hole with various fine 'tools ", you need to look at the outside rimm as if it is a clock. At 5minutes and at 35 minutes , there are 2 metals parts that lock the mecanism. I used fine screwdrivers to lift the rim and proceded to get closer and closer to those metel parts. I just pushed the one at 5 minutes and did the same for the second one. Pouring a little bit of oil in the key hole BEFORE starting the main work, helped the mecanism to get loose. In half hour, i opened 2 old trunk! Et voila! Now I have to get the keys.......
