Generally you will find that a golf course will not officially close. There will be no opening or closing times. Although players start at sun rise and the last players will simply walk off the course when it is too dark to carry on playing. Pro shops will usually stay open until about 3 hours before sundown.
The four majors (for men's golf) are: The Masters, which is run by Augusta National Golf Club, and played in April The US Open, which is run by the USGA and is played in June The Open Championship (often called the British Open in the US), which is run by the R&A and played in July, and The PGA, which is run by the PGA and played in August. Note that the PGA is the old PGA, the one that is now basically the association of club pros and teachers, not the PGA Tour, which is the touring professional players. There's no authoritative committee that decides what's a major. These are the championships that have established a sufficient reputation to stand out from the rest. Things that go into major status are strength of field, prize money, qualification for subsequent events, and public recognition. Players don't stay home from majors unless they have to. Nobody misses the British Open to rest up for the Quad Cities, er, John Deere. The PGA Tour would very much like to run its own major championship, and often hints that the Player's Championship (now in May) should be considered a major. If it were, there would be a major-a-month from April to August, which is probably too many.
Reynolds Plantation is a golf course and a resort all in one. You can get time there through purchasing a stay off their website, or in person. It seems to be expensive.

Some slaves chose to stay and work for their masters due to fear of punishment, lack of viable alternatives, or emotional ties formed with their masters. Additionally, some slaves may have believed that staying and working for their masters provided them with a sense of security and stability.
MOI is moment of inertia, and this is basically the golf club heads resistance to twisting. It applies to woods and drivers. When you hit a golf ball, the weight of the golf ball causes the quickly open and close many times. The more resistant the club head is to twisting the straighter the clubface will stay and obviously the straighter the ball will go.
Search it in google or yahoo for site that offers golf vacation package. Example: "golf package".
Suno Golf is an online golf retailer that sells counterfeit clubs. I highly recommend you stay away from this website.
Many courses try to stay open until the weather is cold (or snowy) nearly every day. Once the cold weather sets in, many of these courses close for the winter. However, there are some courses that do remain open in one of two forms. Some courses are open if there is a "nice" day. Usually that means a temperature nearl 50 degrees or middle to upper 40's, the greens are not frozen, and the course is not too muddy. Almost always carts will not be permitted because of the damage they may cause to the course in cold weather. Other courses, typically 9-hole courses from my limited observation, remain open in an unofficial sense. They may simply ask you to drop money into a slot and you can play the course (or practice on the course) even though no one is there. Talk to the people who operate the course.
