∙ 14y agoAccording to a contribution elsewhere on WikiAnswers, the international official mass of a
ball (they're very sensitive about that) is 2.7 grams = 2.7 x 10-3 kg.
The mass of the earth is listed in another source as 5.97 X 1024 kg.
(5.97 x 1024) / (2.7 x 10-3) = 2.211 x 1027 balls. (rounded)
You were probably looking forward to the thrill of seeing the big number, so here it is:
2.211 x 1027 = 2,211,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 balls. (rounded)

∙ 13y agoA lot of ping pong balls
There are 16 ounces in a pound, so 16 / 0.110 = 145.5 ping-pong balls would weigh 1 pound. Rounded down, this means that you would need 145 ping-pong balls to equal 1 pound in weight.
What kind of balls?

A quarter pound weighs more than an ounce. There are 16 ounces in a pound, so a quarter pound is equal to 4 ounces.
"Pound" and "ounce" are just names for certain kinds of physical quantities. They have no weight at all. But a pound OF SOMETHING is the same as 16 ounces OF THE SAME THING. So each ounce OF IT weighs 6.25% as much as a pound OF IT weighs.
1 fluid ounce of soda weighs 0.062 5 pound. 12 fluid ounces of soda weighs 0.75 pound. If it's in a can it will weigh more.
If you're trying to ask what the weight of a fluid ounce of something is, it depends on the density of the something in question. For water, 1 fluid ounce weighs pretty close to 1 ounce. A fluid ounce of mercury weighs nearly a pound.
No, 6 percent of a pound (0.06 pounds) weighs less than an ounce. One pound is equivalent to 16 ounces, so 6 percent of a pound would be 0.96 ounces.
4 quarters is approximately an ounce. one U S quarter weighs 5.67 grams which is almost exactly equal to 0.2 ounces. so five quarters equal 1 ounce try Google for stuff like this.
