Harry Wolter debuted on May 14, 1907, playing for the Cincinnati Reds at Palace of the Fans; he played his final game on September 23, 1917, playing for the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field.
The oldest ballpark in MLB history is Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox, built in 1912. (the opening of Fenway Park was overshadowed by the tragic sinking of the Titanic.) It is currently the oldest ballpark in the MLB (as of 2010). Fenway Park is known nation wide for its "green monster," or the giant green wall in left field. As of June 13, 2009, Fenway Park has been up and running for 97 years.Until 1990 Chicago White Sox' Comiskey Park (briefly known as 'the baseball palace of the world') was the oldest baseball stadium in the world. It was built in 1910 on Chicago's South Side. However Comiskey Park was torn down in 1990 in favor of building the 'New Comiskey Park' (currently known as U.S. Cellular Field. or simply, 'The Cell')The next oldest park in baseball belongs to the Chicago Cubs. Wrigley Field was built on Chicago's North Side in 1914. Most people regard it as a dilapidated, decaying and deteriorated dump of a "stadium" and feel that it should have been torn down decades ago. Wrigley Field didn't even get lights for night games until 1988, some 60 plus years after everyone else started using them. The Cubs haven't won a World Series title in over a century (102 years). This is the longest drought for any professional Sports team in history. Wrigley Field is cherished for its old fashioned history, green green grass, (not turf) original Ivy, and the preservation of its roots. Improvements have been made over the years, reluctantly, infringing on the sentimentality of the fans who pack this particular field, (to capacity) win or lose, rain or shine.
dileep have more fans
The Red Sox "FANS" hate the Yankee "FANS".
That would be the Louisiana Superdome home of The SAINTS!! I would say the stadium with the most seating is FedEx Field. It seats over 90 000 where as the Louisiana Superdome seats between 55 000 and 89 000 depending on the event. According to answers.com, FedEx Field seats 91,704.
ln the third year of a controversy over whether to install lights for night games at Wrigley Field in Chicago, Scott Mutter created this image of the fans lighting the baseball diamond with flashlights. It touched off a national sensation and became Mutter's most popular photomontage. Even though night games at Wrigley Field are no longer a novelty, the magic of this image endures. It provides a dramatic graphic depiction of the symbiotic relationship between professional players on the field and the fans in the bleachers .
because its better than all other teams stadiums, history and true fans
Did Sha Na Na play at Wrigley Field? Yes. Sha Na Na played Wrigley Field, along with Chuck Berry after a Cubs game. You paid for the Cubs game and the double-bill concert afterwards was free. During the concert many fans got overly-excited, went over the walls, and started dancing on the field. It was roughly sometime around 1984 (+/- a few years.)
Wrigley Field actually doesnt have a future... due to a mass loss of interest in the Chicago Cubs after fans finally came to terms with the fact that the Cubs will never win the world series again, and the the fact that the White Sox are, in general, an all together better team. It is hoped that Wrigley Field will be knocked down some time in the near future to make room for a White Sox superfan memorabilia store.
The first season the Cubs broke the one million mark in attendance was 1927 when they drew 1,159,168 fans to Wrigley Field.
No, not all ceiling fans have lights. Some ceiling fans are designed solely for air circulation and do not include light fixtures.
If your question is "What would I conserve by turning off lights and fans?", the answer is electricity.
Clark became the first official mascot of the Chicago Cubs on January 13, 2014. Clark is a fictional character descended from Joa, the original live Bear's mascot in 1916. Clark is named for Clark Street, the street which borders the third base side of Wrigley Field. Clark is a "young, friendly Cub" who greets fans at Wrigley Field and is there when kids run the bases on Family Sundays.
