There were many things that led to the Steelers losing Super Bowl XLV. Not playing well in the first quarter and starting off in a 14-0 hole. The three turnovers which led to 21 points for Green Bay. One of the biggest backbreakers was with roughly 6 minutes to play, the Packers had a 3rd and 10 in the fourth quarter and the Steelers had just cut the lead to three, the Steelers gave up a 31 yard pass which eventually would lead to a Packers field goal. If they had stopped them there and got the ball back, they could have mounted their own drive, needing only a field goal for a tie. Even with the Packers receivers dropping a handful of passes, which would have put the game away a lot earlier, the Steelers still couldn't capitalize.
