Wes Welker left the Patriots as a free agent.

The Patriots offered Welker a two year deal with a base salary of 10 million dollars guaranteed. Bonuses and incentives were added to the contract, which could have pushed it as high as 16 million dollars. However, Welker thought the incentives were too far a reach and rejected the offer.

He signed a two year, 12 million dollar deal with the Broncos after the Patriots offer was rejected.
