Babe Didrikson played in the 40's and helped found the LPGA, so she is a pretty big name, but I don't think she played too much in the 50s. Patty Berg would probably the biggest name from the LPGA in the 50s. Perhaps Louise Suggs. Both were also founding members of the LPGA.
