How do you define dedicated? Jerry Rice probably had one of, if not the most, dedicated conditioning routines during the offseason and when you consider that he wasn't blazing fast, tall, or exceptionally strong, you'd have to attribute his amazing accomplishements to his dedication. However consider someone who made a career playing special teams...where you don't get the glamour, or the big money, or the endorsements...it takes dedication to continue to get pounded while other players are getting the big contracts and all the attention. There's dedication involved in eating. There are several players that go without any of the little treats that we all love just so they can stay in the best shape they possibly can. Anybody that's ever been on a diet for even a short period of time knows that it takes dedication. TO, for instance even avoids caffeine...so there goes even a cup of black coffee or tea. Even this discussion only takes into account the dedication on the field....we never hear of the personal sacrifices people make to play pro football. players miss their kids growin up...their parents die while they're on the road playing away games, they don't see their wives....who knows what else they go without just to chase this dream.
