The Russian Revolution consisted of two revolutions, the February Revolution and the October Revolution. The February Revolution was a spontaneous mass demonstration and general strike by the people of Russia who were complaining about conditions in Russia under Tsar Nicholas II. Tsar Nicholas II abdicated the throne while Lenin was in Switzerland. Lenin had no part in it.
