That man was Jim Gregory who now resides in Reedley Ca. He was also my Freshman and Varsity football coach while I attended Reedley high. Great individual with an outstanding work ethic. Mr. Gregory was not the only white student at Grambling University at the time. Other students from Central California also attended. Rick Tucker, from Corcoran California, also attended & graduated from Grambling. Rick attended Grambling on a Baseball scholarship. I was told that the movie "Grambling's White Tiger" focused on football because of the popularity of Coach Robinson, but the actual story was a co-mingled account based on more than one student's experience at the University.
