Russell Cross (born September 5, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois) is a retired American professional Basketball player who was selected by the NBA's Golden State Warriors in the 1st round (6th overall) of the 1983 NBA Draft. A 6'10" center from Purdue University, he has the school record for most points scored during a Freshman season with 540 points. Cross played in only one NBA season, averaging 3.7 points in 45 games for the Warriors in 1983-84. Cross attended Manley High School on the west side of Chicago.
