Walt Kiesling was the Steelers head coach from 1939-1940, 1941-1944 and 1954-56. He was replaced after the 1940 season with Bert Bell and then Aldo Donelli. Kiesling returned to finish the 1941 season. After 1944 he was replaced with Jim Leonard and in 1956 by Buddy Parker.
