Well, I am going to throw out a name that many outside of Denver may not be familiar with: Lafayette (Fat) Lever. Lever Played 11 NBA seasons. His 11-year career averages may not impress many. 2 of his final 3 seasons were injury-plagued years in Dallas, and his first two seasons in Portland where he mostly came off the bench hurt his overall averages a bit. But, based on what he did as a starter for the Denver Nuggets (6 Seasons), here is how he compares to Magic Johnson and Jason Kidd. POINTS--REBOUNDS--ASSISTS--STEALS Magic: 19.5 -- 7.2 -- 11.2 -- 1.9 Fat: 17.0 -- 7.6 -- 7.5 -- 2.5 Kidd: 13.8 -- 6.5 -- 8.9 -- 2.0 So, as you see, Fat Lever out-rebounded, and out-stole both JK and MJ, and landed between them in scoring. Understand, I'm not saying Lever was better than these two, but I use them to show how "Fat" Lever's numbers were. I feel John Stockton was perhaps the best PURE PG ever. However, Kidd and Magic also were known for grabbing a handful of rebounds as well, which is why I didn't include Stockton. TRIPLE-DOUBLES? Guess who is 6th ALL-TIME in this category? Yep, Fat Lever. Those 5 names in front of his are pretty impressive! 1. Oscar 2. Magic 3. Kidd 4. Wilt 5. Bird 6. FAT! Look at this stat-line from the 87-88 season in a game against the Chicago Bulls! 31 points, 20 assists, 16 rebounds and 6 steals. I feel had Lever not got hurt in Dallas, and perhaps played more for winning teams, he would have gained a lot more respect in his career.

In my opinion, it is Derrick Rose. With 25 PPG and 8 APG I think he get's the first. However, Russel Westbrook is reaching up.
