Paolo Maldini. Starting from the youth team, it's 1978 to 2009 when he retired. Ryan Giggs isn't even close. 1987 to 2012. Assuming Giggs doesn't retire, he'll only be on par with Maldini in 2018, when he is 44.

If we're comparing just the senior career. Maldini has spent 24 seasons with Milan, while, as of 2012, Giggs is into his 21st year only.
