Phil Housley was born on March 9, 1964 in St. Paul, Min. He became one of the best players in Minnesota hockey and was subsequently drafted by the Buffalo Sabres # 6 overall in the 1982 Entry Draft. He had a great NHL career, playing in 1492 games for Buffalo, Winnipeg, St. Louis, Calgary, New Jersey, Washington, Chicago, and Toronto. Housley retired in 2003 without ever winning a Stanley Cup and now coaches high school hockey in Minnesota.
