Due to injury in 1993 Mark McGwire only had 84 at bats, and in 1994 he had 135 at bats hitting only 9 home runs each year. In 1995 he only had 317 at bats, and hit 39 home runs. His next 4 seasons averaging at least 500 at bats he hit 52, 58, 70, and 65 to close out the 1990's.
