it was given to Eugenio Gutierrez by the King of Spain in 1790, inherited by son, Ysidro Gutierrez, inherited by daughter, Petra Gutierrez, who then married Ignacio guerra, had three sons, Dionicio, Juan, and Jose maria, dionicio bought out the other 2 brothers part of the Ranch, Los Ojuelos Ranch. Dionicio Guerra, had a son, juan Guerra, inherited by his son, manuel Guerra, and one of his great-grand daughter's, Gertrude Guerra Contreras, all together the Guerras are 290 years of possession of the "Los Ojuelos Ranch", Abstract # 1393-Survey# 592.!!!

Our family has been hunting at this ranch for over 40 yrs. and there never has been any issue about ownership of the ranch. The owners are Benavides, Salinas, Gutierrez, Weiss, and Guerras and all the land is split accordingly.
