Bo Jackson, an Auburn running back from 1982 through 1985 holds the school record for rushing yards. In his career he averaged 6.62 yards a carry, totalling up 4,303 yards in that time. He also won the Heisman Trophy in 1985.
Carnell Williams is second with 3,831 yards. Auburn greats James Brooks, Joe Cribbs and Stephen Davis round out the top five.
The current active rushing leader (mid-way through the 2009 season) is Ben Tate. He's eighth on the all time Auburn list after the sixth game of his senior year. He could conceivably break into the top five before his eligibility has expired.
