Craig Counsell went 0 for 45 in 2011 -- tying the longest non-hit streak in MLB history. Some reports have Bill Bergen going 0 for 46 in 1909, but more detailed research has concluded it was "only" 45.

Slumps can happen to the best of players. In 1971, Luis Aparicio went 0 for 44 -- but still got elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
