On January 6, 2002, Michael Strahan sacked Brett Favre to become the single season record holder, with 22 1/2 sacks.
It was said that Favre fell to the ground on purpose, allowing Strahan to fall on top of him.
The Closest QB to beat every team in the league right now is Brett Favre. If the Minnesota Vikings win Monday night against the Green Bay Packers then Favre would have accomplished yet another record. Below I have listed all the teams that are around and have been around since the beginning of the Favre Era. Please let me know if I have missed anyteams. If there is a win Monday night by the great one than this will be updated!!Team49ers - 1996Bears - 1998Bengals - 1995Bills - 1997Broncos - 1993Browns (Before move to Baltimore)- 1995Browns (New Browns after move) - 2001Bucaneers - 1992Cardinals - 2000Chargers - 1993Cheifs - 2007Colts - 1997Cowboys - 1997Dolphins - 1997Eagles - 1992Falcons - 1994Giants - 1995Jaguars - 1995Jets - 1994Lions - 1992Oilers (Houston) - 1992Oilers (Tennessee) - 1998Packers - ????? I guess you are referring to the Gallic sack of 390 BC. The Gauls did not intend to stay in Rome, they just sacked it. The Gauls were also hit by an epidemic as a result of them not burying the dead. They negotiated a payment of 1,000 pounds of gold. Both the story of events preceding the sack and the sack itself probably came from oral tradition. It is very inaccurate and contains unlikely accounts and mythical elements. Some historians think that these Gauls were mercenaries hired by the tyrant of Syracuse (a Greek city in eastern Sicily which was the most powerful Greek state in Italy) who were on their way south from the Marche region (north of Rome) to Calabria (the toe of Italy). It is also likely that the rout of the roman army at the Battle of the Allia just before the sack was exaggerated and that the Romans let the Gauls in the city because they knew that their walls were in disrepair (they built new walls after the sack). It is also likely that the damage of the sack was not great because more recovered quickly and was able to defeat several attacks by neighbouring peoples.
Alfred Emanuel "Al" Smith [Governor of New York and Democratic Presidential candidate in 1928] was famous for saying, "Let's look at the record." I guess even back in the 20's politicians had an affinity for rhetoric as opposed to getting to the truth. http://www.nytimes.com/2004/08/04/opinion/op-chart-a-record-of-recovery.html?pagewanted=1 http://www.newworldencyclopedia.org/entry/Alfred_E._Smith http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Smith

Brett Favre was the quarterback for the 1996 Green Bay Packers. He took over the job in 1992 when Don Majkowski was injured and didn't let go of the position until 2008 when he was traded to the Jets.
Since they were only 1 yard out, he figured they would of scored anways or run down the clock. He trusted Brett Favre and his offense to score but they could not.

I'm not sure but let me set the bar - Fred Davis, English billiards, world champion at 67. Btw, the second place may belong to a billiard player too - Raymond Ceulemans, world champion at 64, three-cushion billiards.
No. Not an actual "written" record.
