The first one of note was Viv Anderson, but I do not know of any that were African, at least not by immediate descent, as it were. Oh, hang on, wasn't Quinton Fortune from South Africa.... & just to add to that I think Eric Djemba-Djemba is also from west africa, Senegal maybe.... Cameroon in fact !
