The largest arena in the world that currently regularly hosts hockey games is the Bell Centre in Montreal, QC with a capacity of 21,273. It is the home of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens. The Thunderdome (Tropicana Field) in St. Petersburg FL which is bigger was the home of the Tampa Bay Lightning (NHL) for 3 seasons but have since moved to St. Pete Times Forum which is smaller than the Bell Centre.

The biggest hockey crowd ever recorded was in Michigan in the "Cold War" between Michigan State Univeristy and the University of Michigan where 74,544 fans watched the game at Spartan Stadium.
