China sent 24 athletes to the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid to compete in figure skating, speed skating, alpine skiing, cross country skiing, and biathlon. They did not win any medals. The 1980 Winter Olympics were the first Winter Olympics that China competed in.
Bode Miller did not compete in the 1992 Winter Games in Albertville. His first Olympics were the 1998 Games in Nagano where he competed in giant slalom and slalom and did not finish either event.

The 4-man bobsled has been around since the very first Winter Olympics in 1924, with the following two exceptions: In 1928 it was the 5-man bobsled. In 1960 the event was not held because the organizers didn't want to build a bobsled track.
