The New York Jets claim just 1 Super Bowl title over the heavily-favored Baltimore Colts (later the Indianapolis Colts) in 1969.[1] However, this was during the NFL Championships 1966-1969 (Super Bowl era-pre merger) thus before the 1970 AFL--NFL merger. But Super Bowl III in 1969 was the 1st Super Bowl that carried the "Super Bowl" moniker at the time of the game.[2]

Man I sure wish they did
packers for 1 and 2 and jets won #3 (jets were first AFL team to win a super bowl...before the merger and the afc)
The Green Bay Packers won what were retrospectively named Super Bowl I and II, but then they were named the NFL-AFL championship game. The NY Jets were the first team to win a Super Bowl when it was called the Super Bowl.
Through Super Bowl XLIII, the Giants have won three Super Bowls (XXI, XXV, XLII) and the Jets have won one (III).
