The Steel Curtain was the nickname given to the Steelers front four defensive linemen during their Super Bowl dynasty of the 1970's.
They won their Super Bowls in 1974, 1975, 1978 and 1979.

Pittsburgh is famous for their steel production and terrible sports teams (Pittsburgh Power- AFL, Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Pirates.) They also are robbers which is weird because they can never "steel" a win. They lose to the Ravens every year.
