Dallas Texans in 1952.

The owner of the New York Yanks sold the team back to the NFL after the 1951 season. Giles Miller, a Dallas businessman and millionaire, bought the rights to the team and relocated them to Dallas and renamed them the Texans. Poor play meant small crowds and the Texans soon were in financial difficulty. After seven consecutive losses and the inability to meet their payroll, Miller returned the team to the NFL who ran it for the final five games of the season.
