The Pittsburgh Steelers have not had a mascot in the past. In the next couple of years though they should have one.

Back in the late 1970's and 1980's the Steeler mascot was called the Terrible Fan. The mascot was a large, tossle cap wearing version of the Myron Cope Official TERRIBLE TOWEL, a Pittsburgh Original. The Terrible Fan Costume has been retired and now resides in the Western PA Sports Museum located in the Heinz History Center.
