The above teams, of course, are WHA teams that Mahovlich played for towards the end of his career. Mahovlich, known as "The Big M" , is most noted for his time in the NHL with the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Detroit Red Wings and the Montreal Canadiens.

The "Big M" was Frank Mahovlich.
Frank Mahovlich was the last Montreal Canadien to wear No. 10 before Guy Lafleur. The "Big M" was traded from Detroit to Montreal for Bill Collins, Mickey Redmond and Guy Charron just prior to the 1971 trade deadline and joined the club in Minneapolis, where the Habs were playing the Minnesota North Stars. Because Montreal had no No. 27 available (the number Frank had made famous with Toronto and Detroit), he was given No. 10, which had been Collins number before he was traded. Mahovlich wore No. 10 for two games before the team returned to Montreal and he was given his familiar No. 27. I believe it was Ted Harris, who was a defenseman for the Habs. it was C.McDonld
