University of Florida GATORS (2) This is incorrect. They have won 5 but The Ohio State Buckeyes have one 6 as of 1/5/11
Presently the four BCS bowls are the Rose, the Sugar, the Fiesta and the Orange Bowls. The BCS National Championship game is sometimes played at the same site as one of the four BCS bowls, but this is a separate game played one week later.
The SEC send 7 teams outside the BCS line, meaning Auburn will for sure get a bowl bid but not a BCS bid. Look for them to head to either the cotton bowl or the outback bowl in Tampa. Best of Luck!
It rotates between 4 or now maybe 5 different bowl games. Fiesta, Sugar, Orange, Rose and I believe a new historic bowl was added this last year. As of the 2006 season, the BCS National Championship game is a separate game from all four of the other BCS bowls. It is called the "BCS National Championship Game". The site of the game rotates between the sites of the other four BCS games, but the name of the contest remains the same. The 2007 national championship game (actually to be played in 2008) will be in the Louisiana Superdome (site of the Sugar Bowl). The date of the game is 1 week after the BCS game played at the same site (though, for some reason, this year's game will be on Jan 7, just 6 days after the Sugar Bowl.)

The payout for the 2013 Outback Bowl is $3.4 million (US) per team. That ranks the Outback Bowl third among all non BCS bowl games for highest payout behind the Capital One Bowl ($4.25M per team) and the Cotton Bowl Classic ($3.625M per team). BCS bowls will pay out $18 million per team for the 2013 games that follow the 2012 season.
The 2011 Sugar Bowl was Arkansas' first BCS bowl in school history.
BCS stands for Bowl Championship Series. The BCS is the system that selects the Division 1-A college football teams to play in the BCS bowl games at the conclusion of each football season. There are 5 BCS Bowl Games:1. Rose Bowl: Pac 10 champ vs. Big Ten champ2. Sugar Bowl: SEC champ vs. BCS selection3. Fiesta Bowl: Big 12 champ vs. BCS selection4. Orange Bowl: ACC champ vs. BCS selection5. BCS National Championship Game: BCS #1 vs. BCS #2 If the champion of one of the 5 major conferences with BCS ties (bold above) is ranked #1 or #2 in the BCS and goes to the BCS NC game, then the bowl that has the tie to that conference may select another team, based on BCS ranking. For example, if USC wins the Pac 10 and is ranked #1 at the end of the regular season, then the Rose Bowl can select another team to play against the Big Ten champion. Otherwise, the specific Bowl must take the champion of the respective conference. In addition, Notre Dame gets an automatic berth if it finishes in the top 8 in the BCS ranking; the Big East champion gets an automatic berth to one of the games; and a non-BCS-conference team ranked in the top 12 (or in the top 16 and ranked higher than at least one BCS conference champion) gets an automatic berth, but only one non-BCS conference team can get a berth each year.

For the 2010 season, if either the Big 10 champion or PAC 10 champion is playing in the BCS National Championship Game and a non-BCS team qualifies for a BCS bowl, that team will play in the Rose Bowl. The University of Oregon won the PAC 10 and would normally play in the Rose Bowl. But since they are playing in the National Championship Game, obviously, they can't play in the Rose Bowl. So TCU, a non-BCS team that qualified for a BCS bowl, was slotted to play in the Rose Bowl.
57 BCS bowl wins,32 other bowls win.36 bowl loses
There are 5. There is the Orange Bowl, Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, and the BCS National Championship. There are a total of 35 bowls including the 5 BCS bowls.

There are many different ways to determine the "best" bowl game. From a monetary standpoint, the Capital One Bowl pays out $4.25 million per team. This bowl also gets the first non-BCS selection from the Big Ten and SEC-a traditional conference rivalry, making the Capital One Bowl among the best non-BCS bowls. The Cotton Bowl classic between the first non-BCS Big 12 team and the second non-BCS SEC team is also a top bowl game paying $3.625 million for the 2013 bowl.
