No one knows. However there is a offshoot called Ulama played in parts of central America.
The Aztecs used wheels in children's toys such as small wheeled dogs made of pottery or occasionally obsidian. Some of the sports and games the Aztecs played were Tlachtli, Patolli, Ullamaliztli, or Totoloque.
They had a game called Ullamaliztli."Ullamaliztli, the famous Aztec ball game, was played on a tlachtli ball court (the game is sometimes referred to as Tlachtli). The ball court was one of the first things built when the Aztecs settled a new area, making it the most important of the ancient Aztec games. It was a very difficult game played with a large rubber ball (the name of the game comes from the word ulli, or rubber). The game was not just important for entertainment, but also politics and religion."From
The Aztecs played a ballgame on a long narrow court called ullamaliztli. There were stone rings on the side walls of the court, and the object of the game was to put a rubber ball through the ring - a more difficult form of basketball and soccer, combined. The ball was very heavy - almost 10 pounds (4.5 kilos), and wasn't allowed to touch the ground. The players had to use only their elbows, head, knees and hips to move it (no hands!).
They played ullamaliztli and the losers team would get sacraficed to the gods. This was a deadly sport people broke alot of bones, ribs, ancles and more.
