If proven to be authentic the sign you have could sell for thousands. If you know for sure it is real it would be worth authenticating. If you found it you might have found someone's fantasy piece. If you bought it you could have been taken. Be aware that there are loads of fake, and reproduction sign like this on the market. If you have been on eBay lately you will find dozens of "vintage" advertising sign, and posters all over. Sign that are so rare that some price guides do not even have a picture, nor list a price. Yet here they are by the dozen. $700. - $1,500. signs selling for $50. - $100. That alone should tell you something. These signs include Ted's Root Beer, Mickey Mantle Rawlings, Jackie Robinson Story movie poster, and a poster similar to what you are asking about a 1920's Babe Ruth Lou Gehrig Poster advertising a barn storming game played in Fresno. I have seen about 6 of these in the past year alone, and I wasn't looking for them. I will leave a link for more information on these fake signs.
