It's not correct! Actually, U. S. Pro Vercelli was founded in 1892 but to be played other sports, while the first football match was pleyed in 1903, 5 years later the foundation of the Football Federation.

The oldest football team in Italy, founded in 1893, even though in the previous years football was played just as amateur levels (goals built by stones, etc), was Genoa Cricket and Athletic Club, which in 1897 became definitively Genoa Cricket and Football Club and, in 1898, like I said, founded, together with turiner clubs the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio.
