To do this, they scheduled the Winter Olympics for 1994, two years after the 1992 Winter Olympics and kept the Summer Olympics scheduled for 1996, four years after the 1992 Summer Olympics. 1992 and 1994 is the only time the Winter Olympics were held two years apart.
