the only two Major League Baseball teams whose mascot doesn't end in "s" are the Boston Red Sox and Chicago White Sox.
If this is NHL only, Minesota Wild, Colorado Avalanche, and Tampa Bay Lightning. I guess the rest have the "s" on the end of the team name because the idea is that theres more than 1 of them, after all, 18 dress per night.

There are only 3 NBA basketball teams that don't end in s. Which are Heat, Magic, and Jazz. I see that that others have thought of the OKC THUNDER, but what about WNBA: (lets not forget the girls out there) Which includes the Minnesota Lynx!!
there is no true consensus on this point. Some people would say that either the Detroit Redwings or Colorado Avalanche of the late 90's early 2000's deserve that title. Others might consider the Philadelphia Flyers of the 70's or the NY Islanders of the early 80's to be the best teams. Still others would argue that the Boston Bruins during Bobby Orr's day to be the best team. If you look at all hockey teams from the US, one could even suggest that the 1980 American olympic team could be considered the best ever.
