My understanding is Clint Longley did not make the Chargers team in after 1976 season and ended up back in Texas somewhere as a salesmen. He was cut from Dallas Cowboys after punching QB Roger Staubach in pre-season and picked up by the Chargers playing backup behind Dan Fouts. Here is a link to his most famous day as quarterback.
