The only other player to hit three home runs in a World Series game was Babe Ruth, who did it twice.
No MLB player has ever hit 4 home runs in 1 game twice, nor has any player ever hit 5 HRs in 1 game. 16 players have hit 4 home runs, 13 of them in a regulation 9 innings. Mike Schmidt hit his 4th in the 10th inning on April 17, 1976 to lead the Phillies over the Cubs 18-16, after being down by as much as 11 runs in the game. Players with 4 home runs in a single game include Shawn Green of the Mets, with a total of 19 bases scored in a game in 2002. The most recent effort was by Josh Hamilton of the Texas Rangers in May 2012. (see related link for all 16 players)

In the 1971 All-Star Game at Detroit's Tiger Stadium, Frank Robinson of the Baltimore Orioles became the first player to hit home runs for both leagues. He hit a two-run blast for the American League in the third inning of the game eventually won by the AL, 6-4. Robinson had previously hit a home run for the National League in 1959, when he was a member of the Cincinnati Reds. Alfonso Soriano duplicated the feat in the 2000s. He hit home runs for the American League as a New York Yankee (in 2002) and a Texas Ranger (in 2007). He later hit a homer for the National League as a Chicago Cub (in 2007).
