There have been many Mets to wear the #13.
The first was Roger Craig in 1964. He wore the #38 but gave that up to Ed Bauta, who was acquired in a trade with the Cardinals, and started wearing #13.
Lee Mazzilli wore #13 between 1986-1989. He had been with the Mets in the 1970s and wore #16. When he came back the #16 was being worn by Dwight Gooden and opted to wear #13.
Some other Mets to wear #13 were Clint Hurdle, Rodney McCray, Rick Cerone, and Jeff Musselman. Currently, the #13 is allocated to Billy Wagner who was worn the number since coming to the Mets in 2006.
