No they used to be higher. I once vistited an old gym and the rims were about 12 foot. Yes they have the people in that gym must have messed up Naismith made the rims 10 feet no you are all wrong they used to be like 9' i because people back then were shorter then people now! At first they were 10feet and then this one guy kept on dunking it on people so they raise it to 12feet but he still dunk it so they put back down he was the first big man in Basketball at 6ft 10 No they used to be higher i played at an old gym where the rims were 11ft. Even the old Charlotte Hornets rims were 11 feet.
