The only salary info for Jerry West I could find was for the 1970-71 season. He was 32 years old and a touch past his prime (he still averaged 26.9 points per game). According to Basketball Reference, he made $90,000 that season.

Is Vietnam involved in Korean war?

No. Its two completely separate conflicts. The motives for both wars are however similar, as they both relate to the cold war. Both wars started because of the wests, mostly USA, efforts to stop the spread of communism. As the Korean war was seen as a succes on USAs behalf, the Vietnam war was a complete failure.

What ship has the record for the highest death toll of any single warship lost in US Naval history?

That would be USS Indianapolis(cruiser)sunk by a Japanese submarine(I-58)on 30 July, 1945. From what I have read and seen on TV the sinking was not noticed by the Navy as the ship didn't get off an SOS and was traveling by itself and its whereabouts got lost in the shuffle. I wonder why nobody noticed the lack of transmissions which ships, planes and communications stations ALWAYS make. Anyway the ship sank in about 12 minutes and of the approx 1,200 crew about 900 made it into the water and that was when their nightmare started. Very few life rafts launched and many just had their May Wests and that was it. Very little or no water, food or medicine. These sailors spent about 3 1/2 days in the water before being spotted by a patrol plane and rescued but the sun, sea and sharks took about 2/3rds of them. Some claim this was the greatest shark attack and devouring in history but while the number must have been huge nobody really knows. 316 sailors were pulled from the water. The captain was tried for dereliction of duty and convicted; he committed suicide in 1968. Johnnie

In what ways was the Byzantine Empire an extension of the Roman Empire?

The Byzantine empire was the Roman empire. The term "Byzantine" was coined by historians to denote the eastern part of the Roman Empire, after the fall of the western part of the Roman Empire. The term is derived from the Greek city of Byzantium, which wasredevelopedand renamed Constantinople andturnedinto the capital of the east. It is used as an indication to the fact that not long after the fall of the western part of the empire this part of the empire became centred onGreeceandGreekin character with the loss of most of its non-Greekterritories. Greek replaced Latin as theofficiallanguage of this empire in 620, some 140 years after the fall of the west.
