Wendell Oliver Scott, Jr. is alive and well and living in his father's home town of Danville, Virginia. He and his brother Franklin Scott accepted Scott's NASCAR Hall of Fame ring in 2015. Sadly, their mother, Scott's wife Mary, died six months later in July 2015. Wendell Jr. is in his early 70s as of 2018.
