Australian cricketing legend Donald Bradman began his crisketing career in Bowral, New South Wales. This is where he grew up, practising hitting a cricket ball into a water tank on a brick stand behind his home, developing his legendary split-second speed and accuracy by this method. Bradman scored for his local cricket team in 1920 and 1921, also filling in for the Bowral cricket team.
