Excellent list, but one error.
The Atlanta Braves lost the World Series in 1991 and again in 1992. They finished last in 1990, as did the Twins, who beat them in 7 the next year.
The list is larger than expected, and losing two in a row isn't even a record:

Detroit Tigers lost 1907, 1908, 1909 for three in a row
NY (now SF) Giants lost 1911, 1912, 1913 for three in a row
NY Yankees lost 1921, 1922
NY (now SF) Giants lost 1923, 1924
NY (now SF) Giants lost 1936, 1937
Brooklyn (now LA) Dodgers lost 1952, 1953
NY Yankees lost 1963, 1964
LA Dodgers lost 1977, 1978
Atlanta Braves lost 1990, 1991
Texas Rangers lost 2010- 2011
So the numerical answer is 10 teams (through 2012) will have lost two or more consecutive World Series. (But watch out for a "bar" bet where the Tigers would be counted twice for 1907-08 and 1908-09 as also would the Giants for 1911-12 and 1912-13.)
